Two day-long job fair kicks off in Khulna

A two-day long job fair arranged by bdjobs.com, country’s largest job seekers web portal, started at the Gymnasium at Khulna District (Zila) Stadium in Khulna on Tuesday.

Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque inaugurated the programme as the chief guest in Khulna district stadium gymnasium while additional deputy commissioner (Education & ICT) Golam Mainuddin Hassan, Director of bdjobs.com Prokash Roy Chowdhury were present as special guests.

The programme was conducted by its senior general manager of bdjobs.com Md Ali Firoz. Around 34 participating companies will be arranged on-spot interviews around 8,000 job seekers on Wednesday.

The applicants will attend the interview on Wednesday, the last day of fair, and at least 250 eligible candidates will get spot appointment at the fair ground. Underscoring technical education, the chief guest KCC Mayor Talukder Abdul Khlaeque said candidates who are expert in technical side he will must get jobs at home and abroad.

He also suggested youth generation to become self-reliant through outsourcing activities and to build themselves as an entrepreneur avoiding jobs. Md Ali Firoz, Senior Manager of bdjobs.com, who is also coordinator of the fair, told to media, job seekers can apply at their respective posts to different companies at fair premises.

Aiming to connection between job seekers and employment organizers and to create a platform, the bdjobs.com is arranging fair across the country since last 14 years, he added. The fair will remain open 10.00am to 3.00pm till January 22.
