A two-day long child fair was inaugurated in Jhenidah on Monday. District information office organised the programme with a view to conducting awareness activities for women and children development.
A colourful rally was brought out from old DC Court ground. Hundreds of students from different educational institutions took part in the rally. MP from Jhenidah-1 constituency and president of Jhenidah district Awami League Abdul Hyee inaugurated the fair by releasing balloons. Jhenidah-Magura reserved women seat MP Khaleda Khanam and additional superintendent of police in Jhenidah Sadar circle Abul Bashar attended as special guests. District information officer Abu Bakar Siddiquee conducted the programme.
Organising office head Abu Bakar Siddiquee said that they organised the programme following direction of the mass communication department of the ministry of information. Various types of educational materials have been displayed in all 16 stalls arranged by different government offices and educational institution in two days fair.
