Eight police officials have been promoted to the rank of Additional Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police. Of them, two are from Chittogram. The two police officers are Nure Alam Mina, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Chattogram, and Shyamal Kumar Nath, Deputy Police Commissioner (Sadar) of Chattogram Metropolitan Police.
