Two motor cyclists were killed in a road accident at Birampur Batipara area on Balipara-Trishal road in Mymensingh town on Thursday noon.
The victims were identified as Abu Bakkar Siddique, 30, a resident of Haruagram village under Ishwargonj Upazila and Irin Sultana, 30, a resident of Dattapara at the same upazila of the district.
Sub-Inspector of (SI) Nazmul Alam confirmed it and said the accident occurred when a Trishal bound bus from Balipara collided head on with a Motor cycle from the opposite direction leaving two motor cyclists died on the spot .
Getting information, police rushed to the spot and recovered both the body. Police seized the bus but its driver managed to escape from the scene.
No case was filed in this connection till filing the report.
