Two arrested over Kushtia AL leader murder

Two main culprits and five accused have been arrested by RAB-12, Sirajgonj in the incident of killing Awami league leader Siddikur Rahman in daylight in Bheramara, Kushtia. 

Two firearms that used in the killing was also recovered on the basis of arrestee information. 

They were arrested from different area of Kushtia on Wednesday. Additional DIG captain Rafikul Hasan Goni acquainted the information in a press conference at RAB-12 headquarter, Sirajgonj in Thursday morning.

The arrestee are  Mintu Malitha son of Sona Malitha of Chandipur village, Kushtia, Roni Malitha son of Najrul Malitha of Chandpur village, Jony and Dany son of Abdul Hamid from the same village and Jerman Pramanik son of Jofu Pramanik.

Captain Rafiqul Islam Goni of RAB-12 said, “Arrestee Mintu Malitha and Roni Malitha confessed the crime of killing Awami league leader Siddikur Rahman. They are the main culprit. 

Other three defendant assist the killing. Primarily this seems a killing of family conflict.”

Earlier Awami league general secretary of ward 3 Siddikur 

Rahman was shot in daylight at Bheramara district, Kushtia in 18th February.
