The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) clash between Chattogram Abahani and Abahani Limited ended in stalemate at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Monday. The match ended in 1-1.
Both teams scored their goals from the penalty spot. However, in the end, Chattogram Abahani came close to win the match as they won another penalty. However, it did not happen as Abahani Limited’s goalkeeper stopped the ball from going in.
In the 32nd minute of the match, Abahani took the lead from Philho’s penalty kick as Shaker Ullah fouled this Brazilian forward in the box. Then just before the half time, Chattogram Abahani returned to parity. They also earned a penalty, which was converted by Guillerme.
After three consecutive wins in the league, Abahani now drew two matches in a row. Mario Lemos’s team have now 11 points from five matches. Chattogram Abahani have 7 points from same number of matches. Reigning champions Bashundhara Kings are at the top with 15 points after five consecutive wins.
