Awami League’s presidium member Mohammed Nasim has said that there is a massive inflow of development in the country under the leadership of the daughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Hasina. Bangladesh has raised its head in glory among the global community. The country is proceeding towards light from the darkness, he added.
He also said that Awami League came to power by winning the heart of the people but there is no scope of self-satisfaction for clinging to power. Any rude behaviour which can hurt the mind of people should be discarded. He called upon the leaders and activists of AL to remain united to turn Bogura into a fort of Awami League.
Mohammed Nasim said these while speaking as the chief guest at the triennial council of Bogura district unit of Awami League on the premises of Altafunnessa playground in Bogura town on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the AL senior leader at second session of the council declared new committee of Bogura district unit. Mojibur Rahman Mojnu was declared president, while Ragebul Ahsan Ripu was declared general secretary.
However, while Mohammed Nasim was announcing the new committee, a number of local AL leaders and activists were chanting slogans against the committee. They also damaged chairs at the venue.
The last council of the party’s district unit was held on December 10, 2014.
In his speech at the first session, Mohammed Nasim said that Sheikh Hasina is now the chief target of the killer BNP-Jammat circle. There were 19 attacks on her. The conspiracy is being hatched. Sheikh Hasina must be saved anyway. The worst time may come at any moment. The leaders and activists should remain alert. Even, there was attack at the court in Pakistani style. They neither obey the judgment nor the law, they want to free Khaleda Zia through using force. We along with Sheikh Hasina were also in the prison. We were granted bail from the court. That is why, if Allah permits, the people will try those ransacked the courtrooms.
Blaming Ziaur Rahman as the planner of the murder of four National Leaders, Mohammed Nasim said that Ziaur Rahman planned to kill four national leaders to make the country devoid of politics. Zia was the chief villain. Trial of Ziaur Rahman should be conducted by forming an Enquiry Committee, otherwise, the history of the country will remain incomplete. Khandker Mostaque betrayed the nation but the four National Leaders were killed because they did not betray with the blood of Bangabandhu.
The conspiracy of those evil-quarters is still continuing. He called upon every one to resist all conspiracy and to work unitedly to build Sonar Bangla as initiated by Bangabandhu.
Outgoing acting president of Bogura district Awami League Mokbul Hossain presided over the event, while AL Joint General Secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanak spoke it as chief discussant. AL organising secretary and State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, AL central leaders Nurul Islam Thandu, Dr. Rokeya Sultana, Merina Jahan Kobita and Habibur Rahman, MP, also spoke there, among others.
Jahangir Kabir Nanak termed Tarique Rahman as the chief patron of corruption and creator of terrorism. The entire country had turned to an orgy of murder from the Hawya Bhaban.
Today, he has fled from the country. He called Tarek Rahman to return to the country and to face the law, if he had the courage. He further said, there will be no release of Khaleda Zia by resorting ransacking at the court.
