RAB-7 has arrested a fatal truck driver in connection with the collision of a concrete truck at Ispahani intersection of Kotwali Police Station in Chattogram. Driver Ali Hossain was arrested on Sunday night from Baliakandi in Rajbari. RAB-7 confirmed the matter on Monday.
RAB-7 Senior Assistant Director (Media) Mohammad Nurul Abshar said the truck driver was arrested from Rajbari in connection with the incident in which a husband and wife were killed after being hit by a motorcycle. Details will be announced at a press conference at Chandgaon camp on Monday. Husband and wife were killed when a concrete truck hit them at Ispahani intersection of Kotwali police station in Chattogram on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Iqbal Uddin Chowdhury, 47, and his wife Sakhina Fatemi, 35.
Kotwali Police Station SI Mohammad Arafat said that the husband and wife were going towards Tiger Pass on a motorcycle after seeing a doctor from the hospital.
At that moment, a truck carrying concrete from the construction company Max, which was coming down from the flyover, hit the motorcycle.
They fell off the motorcycle. Later the truck passed over them.
