Golam Dostogir Gazi who has been nominated by Awami League expressing his desire in the campaign that he will win the race without hard contest because he developed his area in his last tenure as law maker of this constituency. He termed his nearest rival Shajahan Bhuiyan land terrorists’ representative. Shajahan bhuiyan raised the same allegation against Gazi. He said, Gazi being an industrialist forcibly occupied people’s land during his tenure. So, the people will vote for him.
Under the circumstances, the people of Rupganj apprehend that violence might be ensued on the polling day as two candidates are man of Awami League and the other is if Trinamul BNP.
