As part of the central program of Bangladesh Institution of Engineers, all officers and employees of Gopalganj LGED staged a demonstration in front of the office on Tuesday morning demanding further investigation and speedy trial of the brutal murder of Gazipur City Corporation executive engineer Delwar Hossain.
Maintaining the social distance, Local Government Engineering Department, Gopalganj Executive Engineer Md. Ehsanul Haque, Senior Assistant Engineer Sardar Ekramul Kabir, Sadar Upazila Engineer Md. Zahidul Islam, Assistant Engineer Rabiul Hossain and others were present.
On behalf of the bereaved engineers, LGED Executive Engineer Md. Ehsanul Haque expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family of the slain engineer Delwar Hossain and prayed for the forgiveness of his soul. The engineers demanded a speedy trial with further investigation into the killing and sought the intervention of the Prime Minister to ensure a safe and fair working environment.
