Fisheries and Livestock Minister S M Rezaul Karim inaugurated the plantation of 19.20 lakh tree saplings in Khulna district by planting a tree at the Khulna Circuit House premises on Monday.
The programme under the “Green Belt Phase-2 Project”, the Khulna District Administration has taken the tree saplings programme in Khulna marking the Mujib Barsho, the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,
Additional divisional commissioner (revenue) Subash Chandra Saha, deputy commissioner (DC) Mohammad Helal Hossain, additional deputy commissioner (general) Golam Mainuddin Hassan, president of Khulna Press Club S M Nazrul Islam, livestock officer S M Aowal Haque, fishries officer Md Abu Sayeed, among others, were present.
