Broke down Matamuhuri bridge
Transport connection has been detached in all over the country due to break down the Matamuhuri bridge at Chakoria in Cox's Bazar on Friday evening.
The vehicular movement on the highway road has been disrupted. As a result passengers were facing extreme sufferings.
Around 6pm suddenly the bridge broke down and a freight truck stucked on the road. Then transport connection were disconnected.
Md. Selim, Trafic police incharge of Chakoria Matamuhuri assured the information. He said a freight truck stucked while it crossing the bridge. As a result all the vehicular movement has been disrupted. The rescue team reached the spot. In a while the rescue work will be started.
Connections are being arranged from Pekua in Chakoria thana road to Chattogram as a alternative road, he added.
Three times in this, transport connections were disrupted by breaking down the bridge. Recently vehicular movement were stopped for 18 hours for the same issue.
