Local authorities distributed relief goods among the transgender community, who are suffering from miseries due to spared of coronavirus, in Nabinagar upazila in district of Brahmanbaria on Wednesday. Nabinagar municipality mayor Shib Shankar Das distributed the sacks of reliefs to a total of nine transgender families.
Each sack contained a goon amount of daily essentials including 5 kg rice, 1 kg pulse, 2 kg potatoes, 1 kg salt, 1 litter soybean oil and 2 kg flour. Awami League’s (AL) Nabinagar upazila unit Organizing Secretary Shafiqul Islam, Nabinagar municipality Jubo League president Mahbub Alam Liton, local AL leaders Nour Alam and Omar Faruk, Councilor Shyamul, amomg others, were present on the occasion.
