Train to run from Ctg strictly maintaining hygiene rules

Preparations have been made to run the train with few passengers in compliance with strict hygiene rules. A roadmap has already been prepared for how many trains will run on which route and to sell train tickets online for the next two weeks under the 'one seat passenger and one seat vacant' rule.

According to the latest decision, Subarna Express and Sonar Bangla Express will run on Chittagong-Dhaka-Chittagong route from Sunday. On the other hand, Udayan / Paharika Express will run on Chittagong-Sylhet-Chittagong route. Besides, Meghna Express will run on Chittagong-Chandpur route from next Wednesday.

The railway authorities have decided to operate the train in two groups. The first group of trains will be operated from May 31 including Subarna Express and Sonar Bangla Express, Udayan/Paharika Express, Kalani Express, Panchagarh Express, Banalata Express, Lalmoni Express and Khulna Express. 

The second groups of trains which are recommended to operate from June 3 includes Meghna Express, Teesta Express, Benapole Express, Nilsagar Express and some others.

24 health rules have been issued to be followed in passenger transport by rail route which includes storage of personal safety equipment at stations, emergency planning, establishment of waste management fields, ensure accountability of each unit, passengers whose body temperature is above 37.3 degrees Celsius should be placed in temporary quarantine in the area and necessary treatment should be provided etc.

Moreover, every passenger and railway official should cover his mouth and nose with tissue or elbows while sneezing. Health services need to be strengthened through posters and electronic screens. 

Train travel through medium and high risk areas should be controlled by ticketing and seating of passengers as much as possible. If corona patients are found, the terminals must be disinfected according to local health authority guidelines.
