From September 5, passengers will be able to purchase advance tickets for intercity trains 10 days before the trip, Bangladesh Railway said. This was five days ago. This information was given in a press release sent from Bangladesh Railway on Tuesday (August 25).
It is said that tickets can be purchased on the railway's mobile app and online. Tickets for 50 per cent of the seats will be sold to ensure physical distance. At the same time, sheets, blankets and pillows will be provided inside the train for night time passengers which was closed before. For this purpose the existing bedding charge will be added to the ticket price.
In addition, tea-coffee, bottled water, packaged food (chips-biscuits) etc. can be provided on the train in compliance with the existing hygiene rules, the notification said.
