A human chain was held in Sunamganj on Sunday in protest of harassment against journalist all over the country including recent Kurigram journalist Ariful’s harassment by DC Sultana and case filed against Motiur Rahman of Daily Manobzamin.
Sunamganj press club arranged this human chain in Altaf Squire. People from all walks of life joined the human chain along with the journalists.
AKM Mahim inaugurated this program where Ponkoj Dey President of Sunamganj Press Club, Abu Sufian District freedom fighters Deputy Commander, Abdul Am Noman Sunamganj former Councilor, Jahangir Alam Udichi Industrial Group General Secretaryand delivered speech at the program. They talked about the difficulties and harrasments that journalists face while doing their job. They showed intense condemnation for the harassment Ariful Haque faced.
