Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Sunday said the senior BNP  leader can never avoid their responsibility for Saturday's terrorism  in the capital Dhaka and brutal murder of a innocent  police constable.

The home minister made this remark while talking to reporters at his Secretariat office in the city.

The Home boss further said, “When the BNP leaders were holding meetings, the attacks were carried out.  How can they avoid the responsibility?"

Replying to a question about the arrest BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, he can not avoid his responsibility for the violence.

Replying to another question, Asaduzzaman said cases will be filed over the murder of the police personnel, attacking the chief justice's residence, torching buses and vandalism occurred on Saturday.

A policeman was brutally killed and another cop and two Ansar members are fighting for lives after the Saturday’s clash between BNP men and law enforcers, he added.

Filing of the cases has been started and all victims will file cases gradually, he continued.

Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal told that BNP called hartal after killing and beating police and arson attacks during their programme.

“Around one hundred policemen were also injured. They also beat up Awami League women workers and called hartal,” he described.

The minister said, “I visited the Central Police Hospital and saw how the BNP cadres brutally killed a policeman and hit other police personnel and journalists.”

He said the BNP activists entered into the Chief Justice’s residence after breaking the main gate and vandalized properties. They threw brickbats and stones on the Awami League women leaders and workers in front of the Kakrail Mosque.

“Action will be taken against those who will be identified through video footage of the killing police and beating innocent people as well Awami League leaders and workers,” the minister stated.

He said that the BNP set fire on more than 10 buses, adding, “They even set fire on fire service vehicles. The police and the common people were the targets of their unruly attacks.”

Replying to a question from the journalist, the Home Minister said that the BNP has showed their original character yesterday by killing and beating policemen, journalists and innocent people and they must be punished for their misdeeds soon.
