Tofazzel receives Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Ishwarchandra Vidyasagr award in Kolkata

Tofazzel Hossain, founder principal of Shailkupa City Degree College in Jhenidah,  received Mahatma Gandi Memorial and Ishwarchandra Vidyasagr Award marking the 150 anniversary of Mahtma Gandhi and 200th anniversary of the Ishwarchandra recently.

The award was given in a gorgeous ceremony thrown for amity between neighboring friends Bangladesh and West Bengal under “Dekhi Banglar  Mukh”.

Alokito Banglar Mukh Foundation, an organization that organized the programme with the participation of Shrutibritya and Kathamanabi at Triguna Sena Auditorium of Jadavpur University at Kolkata where hundreds of eminent artistes both from Bangladesh and India were present.

According to the organizers, they honoured Tofazzel Hossain for his outstanding performance for contribution to education sector. Earlier Tofazzel Hossain was given poet Kazi Nazrul Islam and Sher-e- Bangla AK Fazlul Haque awards. He was the General Secretary of Shailkupa Public Hall and Library.

People of all walks of life like educationists, cultural activists, litterateurs and journalists in Jhenidah have expressed their satisfaction over the recognition to Tofazzel Hossain in West Bengal.
