Tk 9 lakh donated to outsourcing hospital staff

Thirty outsourcing cleaners, nanny, ward boy of 250-bed Chattogram General Hospital in Anderkilla of the city had arrears of 5 months.

In this situation, President of the Hospital Management Committee, Local MP and Deputy Minister for Education, Barrister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury handed over a cash grant of Tk 9 lakh to Dr. Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, Acting Superintendent of the Hospital and Chittagong Civil Surgeon on Sunday. 

Deputy Minister for Education Barrister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working tirelessly to overcome the Corona crisis.  It is very difficult for the government alone to overcome this crisis.  So we have to come forward from our respective positions to overcome this crisis.

The Deputy Minister of Education said that there is no alternative to following proper hygiene rules to prevent the corona virus.

Civil Surgeon Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi said, “Whenever we face any problem, Deputy Minister Barrister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury has come forward with help and solved it immediately.”

“He paid Tk 9 lakh to the outsourcing workers within a day of informing him that they were not getting any salary as the contract of the hospital outsourcing workers had not been renewed by the health ministry for several months. 

The 30 employees working in outsourcing will be paid 5 months salary at the rate of 6 thousand taka per month”, he added.

Deputy Minister for Education Barrister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury inspected the corona vaccination activities and talked to vaccinators and providers at the time. 

Chief Health Officer of Chattogram City Corporation Dr Selim Akhter Chowdhury, Senior Consultant of General Hospital Dr. Abdur Rob, Councilor Pulak Khastgir were present there.
