Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized a truck and recovered smuggled Indian black salt, white salt, saree, three pieces, cosmetics and medicine worth TK. 1 crore and 50 lakh at Amrakhali area under Benapole port police station Jashore on Friday night.
Salim Reja, Commanding Officer of 49 Border Guard Battalion, said that on secret information, a team of BGB raided the area at about 10:00pm and seized the items worth Tk 1.50 lakh. Nobody was arrested in this connection. The seized goods were deposited to Jashore customs godown.
A case was filed in this connection.
