Tigresses look to bounce back

After a massive 10-wicket defeat in the opener of the three-match T20 series, Tigresses are looking forward to making a comeback in the second match, which will take place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium today (Tuesday).

In the first match of the series, Bangladesh scored 126/4 and Australia reached the paltry target, losing no wicket. In the second match, Tigress is in a must-win situation to remain in contention in the series, though it would be more than tough for them to win the match against the world champions.

On the other hand, Alyssa Healy's side is also concerned about the series decider and will certainly try to confirm the series victory by winning today’s match.  Meanwhile, Bangladesh skipper Nigar Sultana Joty used seven bowlers in the first T-20 match but could not throw any challenge to the powerful Australian batters. They failed to take even a wicket, as the Aussie opening batter and the captain, Alyssa Healy, accompanied by Beth Mooney, destroyed the Bangladesh bowling line to score the winning runs and remained unbeaten. Meanwhile, the Tigresses also disappointed with their batting, as they had to struggle much throughout their innings and failed to score a competitive total when the captain, Nigar Sultana, was a bit exceptional with her unbeaten 63 runs.

But to make a comeback, Bangladesh batters as well as bowlers will have to combine their efforts. The top-order batters, Dilara Akhter, Murshida Khatoon, Nigar Sultana, and Sobhana Mostary, will have to perform well, and the bowlers will also have to show better

performances.
