Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will take their decision on the national team’s tour in Pakistan within next two weeks, reports BSS.

BCB Cricket Operations Chairman Akram Khan said that they are yet to finalize the venue for the tour, scheduled next February though earlier BCB said that it would send a security inspection team to Pakistan to monitor the situation ahead of planned visits of men’s and women’s national team in the coming months.

Bangladesh national team is also scheduled to play two Tests and three Twenty20 internationals in February next year. The two Test matches are the part of the two team’s World Test Championship game.

Teams have been reluctant to visit Pakistan since a deadly militant attack on the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore in 2009. Pakistan convinced Sri Lanka to undertake a visit. The series, which is currently going ahead, will end on October 9.

”You know our honourable board President has always said that security is our first priority. We have that in our mind. This is not just a decision of the board. We haven’t decided whether we will play in Dubai or Pakistan. We are discussing.

But we will take our decision within 10-15 days,” Akram Khan said here on Saturday.

”This decision will be finalised in board meeting and the green signal has to come from both side (Board and Government),” he said.
