Tigers move to fourth

Bangladesh moved to the fourth place when there is a lot of change in the points table in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25. 

Tigers were fifth place in two months ago and after the India-England third Test match, the rankings were changed.    

Tigers won against New Zealand by 150 runs at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on November 28, 2023. 

Bangladesh lost to New Zealand in the second Test at Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka on December 9, 2023 and they obtained 12 points.  

Meanwhile, New Zealand are in the top position in the table with 36 points. The Black Caps won three and lost one out of four matches. Kiwis won the Test series against South Africa last week. 

India began their 2023-25 WTC cycle in July last year with a 1-0 series win in the West Indies. It suffered a setback in South Africa after losing the first Test before bouncing back to level the series in the second game.

After losing the first Test against England in Hyderabad, the Rohit Sharma-led side has taken a 2-1 lead in the five-match series after registering wins in Visakhapatnam and Rajkot.

India won over England by 434-run win in the third Test in Rajkot on Sunday. India now in the second spot in the table. 

Defending Champions Australia were on the top but lost the position. Aussies are now in the third place. They secured 66 points. 

The Aussies were won three outings and tied one out of 10 matches over eight months. 

Pakistan are in the fifth place. They have 22 points. Pakistan position are unchanged. They earned 36 points.  West Indies are in sixth spot.

 South Africa are in seventh place. The Proteas down three spot. They were in fourth spot. 

England languishes in the eighth spot, with just three wins in eight games. England achieved 21 points. Sri Lanka are in the bottom line in the table. The Lankan Lions have no points from two matches. They lost two outings.
