Bangladesh are set to play all of its group stage matches in Abu Dhabi following the Asian Cricket Council's (ACC) announcement of the Asia Cup schedule. The Asia Cup, a 19-match T20 competition taking place from September 9 to 28, will be jointly hosted by Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The Tigers find themselves in a challenging Group B alongside Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong. Group A features defending champions India, Pakistan, hosts UAE, and Oman.
Bangladesh's schedule sees them exclusively based in Abu Dhabi for the initial phase of the tournament. They'll kick off their campaign against Hong Kong on September 11, before taking on regional rivals Sri Lanka on September 13.
Their final group match will be a tough encounter against Afghanistan on September 16.
Meanwhile, Group A fixtures will be split between the two host cities, with the final scheduled for September 28 in Dubai. ACC President Mohsin Naqvi praised the UAE's world-class infrastructure and described the tournament as a "celebration of Asian cricket."
