RAB- 14 (CPC-2) Kishoreganj Camp conducted a special operation and arrested three snatchers named Sohail Mia, Johnny and Monir Hossain with a fake pistol, three rounds of fake bullets and two knives under Pakundia upazila in Kishoreganj. The three snatchers were apprehended during a raid in the Ishakhan Bridge area adjacent to Thanaghat in Pakundia upazila on Tuesday afternoon.
RAB-14 (CPC- 2), Kishoreganj Camp Company Commander Lt Commander M Shovan Khan BN confirmed the matter.
Lt Commander M Shovan Khan said a snatching ring had been creating panic among the common people in the Pakundia police station area by snatching three wheelers, snatching money, mobiles and gold ornaments from passengers on the way. The Ishakhan Bridge adjacent to Thanaghat is the tri-estuary of Gazipur, Mymensingh and Kishoreganj districts.
In this context, an operational team of RAB- 14 (CPC-2) Kishoreganj camp conducted an operation in Ishakhan Bridge area on Tuesday on the basis of secret information. The three snatchers in preparation for the robbery and Sohail Mia, Johnny and Monir Hossain were arrested. A fake pistol, three rounds of fake ammunition and two knives were recovered from them. A case has been filed against them at Pakundia police station.
