The work is scheduled to be completed by June 2024. It is learned that there is a bend in Beltali area of the highway. While crossing this busy turn, pedestrians frequently face accidents. The locals have been demanding for an underpass for a long time. Vehicles will pass through the underpass built in this area. To the south, several connecting roads of Noakhali, Laxmipur and Chandpur also handles numerus vehicles per day. Although there is a foot-over bridge, accidents have been happening for almost a day. There will be an underpass for pedestrian traffic from the south side to the north. Roads and Urban Development Department Cumilla Executive Engineer Reza-I-Rabbi said the director of the project has not been appointed yet. Work will start at the end of the tender. When the project is completed, he hopes the suffering of the people of this region will be reduced.
