Three motorcyclists were killed and another was injured when a tractor hit their vehicle at Paniarup village under Kaiyum union at Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria on Thursday night.
The deceased were identified as Payel, 22, son of Md Burhan from Shimrail village of the upazila, Iqbal, 23, son Rabiul if Rampur village, and Amzad, 22, son of Kader Mia of Chakbosta village.
Officer-in-Charge (OC-investigation) of Kasba police station Zakir Hossain confirmed the matter.
He said that the accident took place at about 11:00 pm when the motorbike collided head-on with the tractor.
Four youths were riding the bike and all of them were injured seriously. Locals rescued them and sent to Kasba Upazila Health Complex were three of them died under treatment.
The bodies were handed over to family members. The tractor was seized but the driver managed to escape, said the OC.
