Three killed in road accidents in Jamalpur

Three people, including two uncles and a brother, were killed in a road accident in Jamalpur.  

Three people were killed in two separate road accidents at the intersection of Char Polisha and Melandah Chenya BRAC offices in Melandah Upazila on Friday at around 6pm.

According to police and local sources, a motorcyclist named Anand (19) was killed in a collision between a motorcycle and a covered van in front of Char Polisha Petrol Pump at Melandha on Jamalpur-Dewanganj road.  

Her cousin Sagar (20) was seriously injured in the incident. She was later rescued and died on the way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.  The deceased were identified as Ananda Jamal, son of Rasul Miah of Chandra area and Fazlu Miah, a resident of Sagar area of the same city.  The deceased was identified as Mohammad Ali, son of Faimuddin, a resident of Dagi area of Anu upazila.  At that time 3 people were injured.  The injured are Sathi (15), Swapna (40) and Rafi (15).  The injured are undergoing treatment at Melandah Upazila Health Complex. Melandah Police Station SI Enamul Haque said that after receiving information about the accident, the police reached the spot and seized the motorcycle and easy bike.
