Three youths were killed in a head-on collision between an easy bike and a motorcycle in Beniali area under Jhikargachha upazila of the district on Wednesday afternoon, reports BSS.
The deceased were identified as motorcycle riders Mohammad Jibon, 18, son of Abdur Razzak, a resident of Shankarpur area in the district, Md Nayan, 20, son of Nazrul Islam, of Rohita village under Monirampur upazila and Tohid Hossain, 19, son of Hasan Miah, resident of the same area.
The accident occurred on the Jashore-Benapole highway when the motorbike collided head-on with the easy bike, leaving bike rider Jibon dead on the spot and two others injured.
The injured were admitted to Jashore General Hospital where they succumbed to their injuries, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jhikargachha Police Station Abdur Razzak said.
