Three clinics have been sealed off in Satkhira for not having licence. At the same time these clinics were fined Tk 10,000.
On Monday afternoon, Satkhira Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shamima Bhuiya conducted a mobile court in the upazila and sealed three clinics. The clinics are Medinova Diagnostic Center, Sanjana Clinic and Astha Clinic in the town.
Earlier, Medinova Diagnostic Center, Sanjana Clinic and Astha Clinic were sealed three times due to lack of licence. Apart from this, Medinova and Sanazana Clinics were fined Tk 5 thousand each.
Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Shamim Bhuiya, Upazila Health Officer Dr. Farhad Jamil, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sadar Sumna Irene were present in the campaign.
Sadar UNO Shamim Bhauiya said, based on secret information, raids were conducted in the said 3 clinics in Satkhira town and they were sealed and fined because they did not have valid licence.
However, no one was found in Astha Clinic during this operation. He also said that this campaign will continue.
