Three get life for drug case in Narail

A court in Narail district on Monday awarded life- term imprisonment to three men in a drug case in the district six years back. The court also fined each convict Taka 30,000, in default, to suffer imprisonment for one year more. 

Narail district and session Judge Munshi Mohammad Mashier Rahman handed down the verdict in a crowded courtroom with presence two convicts and absence a convict of the case.

The convicts men are: Foysal Hossen, son of Mohidul Islam, Sumon Molla, son of Ruhul Molla resident of Kismot Mahmudpur village and  Sabbir Hossain (absence in the court) son of Sahidul Islam resident of Khalilpur village in Bagherpara upazila of Jashore district.

Public Prosecutor of the district and session Judge court Adevocate Emdadul Islam confirmed the matter. He told that Detective Branch (DB) of Police arrested Foysal Hossen, Sumon Molla and  Sabbir Hossain with 45 bottles of Phensidyl on June 28, 2015 at 10:00 pm in Mulia Mor Piari Bottola area on Narail-Jashore highway from a Motorcycle. Subsequently, a case was lodged against them with Narail sadar thana in this connection.

After examining witnesses, the court found them guilty and announced the verdict against them in the case.
