The Directorate of Narcotics Control has arrested three drug dealers including two Rohingyas in a separate operation in Chattogram. During this time, 4 thousand 240 pieces of yaba were recovered from them.
They were arrested during raids on Shah Amanat Bridge Toll Plaza and Chaktai Roundabout in the city from Thursday night to dawn.
The arrested are: Md Kaishar alias Yunus (19) son of Abdur Rashid of Ukhia Balukhali refugee camp in Cox's Bazar district, Md Shafi Alam (27) son of deceased Mohammad Alam of the same camp, Md Kamal Hossain (22) son of Md Alam of Lombabil village in Hoikang Union of Teknaf.
According to the sources of Narcotics Control Directorate, Md. Shafi Alam was arrested along with 990 pieces of Yaba by searching a bus of Shyamoli NR Travels from New Bridge Roundabout area.
Narcotics Control Directorate Metro (South) Kotwali Circle Sub-Inspector (SI) Md. Fahim Raju has filed a case against him at Bakalia police station as the plaintiff.
Md. Kamal Hossain was arrested along with 1 thousand 800 pieces of Yabas by searching a bus of Marsa Paribahan from Shah Amanat bridge toll plaza area at 4 o'clock on Thursday night. Narcotics Control Directorate Metro (South) Kotwali Circle Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Samsuddin became the plaintiff and filed a case under Narcotics Act against him at Karnaphuli police station.
Md Kaishar aka Yunuch was arrested along with 1 thousand 450 pieces of yabas by searching a bus of Marsa Paribahan in the toll plaza area of Shah Amanat Bridge. Narcotics Control Directorate Metro (North) Chandgaon Circle Sub-Inspector (SI) Md. Chanaullah Mia filed a case against him at Karnaphuli police station.
Somen Mondal, Assistant Director of the Chattogram Metro office of Narcotics Control Department, said that three drug dealers with two Rohingyas were arrested in three separate raids in the city. Four thousand 240 pieces of yaba have been recovered from them. Three separate cases have been filed against them. They were sent to jail by the court on Friday afternoon.
