Published : 15 Mar 2024 09:41 PM

Following its successful debut at Alliance Française de Dhaka, "The School for Wives" returns to the stage of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) this year, promising another captivating performance.

Directed by Ashish Khondker and inspired by Molière's renowned social comedy, the play will be presented in a studio version at the Space and Acting Research Centre.

The one-hour-long production offers audiences a glimpse into the bustling Parisian streets, centered around wealthy old man Arnolphe's house.

Arnolphe, played by Mohammad Amin, seeks to maintain control over his ward Agnès, portrayed by Manisha Archie, leading to a series of comedic and thought-provoking encounters.

Featuring a talented ensemble cast, including Toto Tuni, Abul Fazal, and Masud Rana, the play explores themes of love, manipulation, and societal norms.

Don't miss this theatrical event at BSA's Experimental Theatre Hall on March 24, from 7:30pm to 8:30pm.
