Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) conducted a drive in Thakurgaon Regional Passport Office on Monday and caught an office-assistant red-handed and detained him with Tk 21, 000.
The detainee was identified as Atiqul Islam, son of Rahmat Ali, hailed from Netrkona district.
It was alleged that the detainee took bribe from a retired teacher named Shahim Uddin to make passport for him. However, ACC conducted drive and caught him with the graft money.
Later, he was handed over to Thakurgaon Police Station.
Deputy-director of Dinajpur ACC Abu Hena Ashiqur Rahman confirmed the matter.
