A listed terrorist was killed in a gunfight with police at Kolabagan area in Pabna Sadar Upazila on Thursday. The gunfight occurred at around 2 am at Pabna municipal area. The deceased was identified as Habban Ali Sheikh, 45, son of late Haydar Ali, hailing from South Ramchandrapur Mandal village under sadar upazila.
His is a listed terrorist. A total of 12 cases were filed against him on various charges including murder, arms and so forth. A gunfight took place between police and a group of armed terrorists. At one stage, Rabban was found bullet-injured and police took him to Pabna General Hospital. He breathed his last at around 4:30 am while undergoing treatment at the hospital, said Rafiqul Islam, Superintend of Pabna Police. A pistol, five rounds of bullets and two bullet shells were seized from the spot. Dead body was sent to the morgue of the hospital, said SP.
