Police arrested a man on charge of violating a 12-year old Madrasa girl at Khaldhar Road area of Jashore district town on Friday.
The arrestee was identified as Faruk Hossain, 35, son of Joynal Mollah of Lakhoati village under Dighalia upazila of Khulna. At present, he lives in Ismail Hossain's rented house behind the mosque on Khaldhar Road.
Police arrested Faruk Hossain from his rented house in the early morning after the girl’s mother filed a case with the Jashore Kotwali Police Station in this connection on Thursday night.
According to the case statement, the accused used to go to her house almost all the time. In the evening on November 19, she left her teenage daughter at home and went outside. At that time, the accused entered her house, found the girl alone and tried to rape her forcibly. When her daughter cried, she quickly returned home and found that the accused left her daughter and ran away.
