Temperature has been increased in the most parts of the country and it may remain unchanged, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

However, the cold wave is still sweeping over four regions of the country. Temperatures may also rise in these areas.

In the next four days, there may be light rain and thundershowers in the western part of the country.

The Meteorological Department said this on Friday morning. According to the forecast, mild cold wave is sweeping over Srimangal, Panchagarh, Kurigram and Chuadanga areas and may subside.

The lowest temperature in the country 7.6 degree Celsius has been recorded at Srimangal on Friday.

The forecast for the next 24 hours from 9 AM on Friday said that the weather across the country may remain dry with partly cloudy skies. Light to moderate fog is forecasted in the country from midnight to morning.

Night temperature may fall slightly and it may remain nearly unchanged elsewhere over the country, while day temperature may rise over the country, according to the forecast.

However, several thousands of patients with cold-related diseases have visited government hospitals recently for treatment due to the latest cold wave from Sunday to Friday.

The health emergency control room sources showed that about 3.50 lakh people visited public hospitals across Bangladesh with cold-related diseases this season.
