A teenager was stabbed to death by his friend for a mobile phone in Kishoreganj. The incident took place on Fishery Link Road in the district town on Thursday (August 5) night.
The deceased was identified as Farhan Hasan Joy (15) son of Md Joynal Abedin of Harua Manik Fakir Goli. Kishoreganj Police arrested killer Fahim (18), son of Bakul of Harua area on Friday.
Police and local sources said Joy took a mobile phone from his neighbor and friend Fahim on Monday (August 2) to make a call. Since then, he has been hiding from Fahim.
Fahim informed Joy's father Joynal Abedin about this. Later, on Thursday night, Fahim went to Joy to fetch the phone. Fahim then stabbed Joy one after another on Fishery Link Road. Joy's entrails came out with the strike of the knife, they added.
When Joy was taken to Kishoreganj 250-bed General Hospital, the on-duty doctor referred him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. On the way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, Joy fell to his death.
