Hiramani Begum, 14, a schoolgirl in Laxmipur, was killed after being violated at her own residence in Gopinathpur area of Sadar upazila on Friday.
She was alone at home at that time as her parents went to Dhaka for the treatment of her cancer patient father.
Police recovered the body of the slain schoolgirl on Friday evening and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Meanwhile, the locals have become upset over the incident of violation and murder of the schoolgirl.
Outraged locals demanded an impartial investigation into the incident and immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of those involved
