A 13-year-old teenager died after fell into a septic tank at BDR Haat area in Lalmonirhat district town on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased was Wajed Islam Tarif, 13, son of Waliur Islam, a resident of the area.
According to fire service and locals, Tarif fell into the septic tank after the slab of a toilet broke down at about 3pm. Locals and family members tried to rescue him but failed. After one hour of attempts, they fire service.
On information, a team of divers from Lalmonirhat Fire Service Station rushed there and rescued Tarif.
, said Wadud Hossain, deputy director of Lalmonirhat Fire Service Department.
He was taken to Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital where the physicians declared him dead.
