We appreciate the government’s steps to make the country’s education system multidimensional. The newly appointed Education Minister Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel has categorically said that standard of education will improve through the empowerment of teachers.
Considering the education sector as a key to overall development of a nation, the government must enhance the facilities for the teachers and their capacity. The government also appears to be on the right track to that end.
We think only teachers can make the students as worthy citizens by providing them with quality education. If we want to survive, there is no alternative to building a smart Bangladesh by enhancing the responsibility of the teachers.
We the people of Bangladesh do not want to lag behind in any field. So, we have to maintain the similar pace of global education as our students are very meritorious.

Apart from the teachers, all concerned will also have to work together to further improve the quality of education, matching the global standard. However, it is worth mentioning that the quality of education has improved a lot in the country in the last 15 years. But, we must keep pace with the world standard by improving further the quality of education. It should be our prime target and we all have to work for attaining the goal.
We should also keep in mind that infrastructural and institutional development is not enough to improve and spread quality education. We hope institutions will be able to play a proper and effective role in the education as well as socio-economic development with the efforts of all concerned.
Education should be linked with jobs. In several universities of the country there are many departments where students obtain degrees but they hardly create scope for employment opportunities. Ensuring quality teaching in primary and high schools, colleges and universities, education can be the crucial means of helping students flourish their latent faculties as they are the future driving force of the nation. So, the teachers and others concerned should discharge their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty for quality development of education. The teachers must have dedication towards transforming their students into worthy citizens by helping their latent talents flourish so that they can lead the future Bangladesh successfully.
Therefore, all the teachers should take an oath to improve our education to the level of world standard for the betterment of the nation and the society.
