A madrasa teacher named Abdul Quddus, 58, died after being hit by a power tiller in Thakurgaon on Sunday morning.
The incident took place in Ghanimaheshpur (Alim Para) area under Ruhia Union no. 1 of Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila.
Deceased Abdul Quddus is the son of late Abdul Karim of Rajagaon Union no. 14. He was a teacher at Goaldighi Madrasa in Atwari upazila. According to the police, Abdul Qudrus was going to Ruhia Bazar by bicycle in the morning. When he reached Ghanimaheshpur area of Patiadangi-Ruhia road, he was seriously injured when he was hit by a speeding sand loaded tiller coming from the opposite direction.
He died on the way to Thakurgaon Modern Sadar Hospital after being rescued by locals.
Ruhia Police Station OC Chittaranjan Roy confirmed the incident.
