TCB starts selling essential commodities in Jhenaidah

Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB), a government run trading agency, has started selling essential commodities in Jhenaidah. 

The TCB has been selling items at five points in Jhenaidah municipality aiming  at bringing normalcy in meeting up the demand of inion, lentil, sugar, soyabean etc. for the common people at a reasonable prices, said the TCB sources.

The sources said they had set up five selling points at Shishu Acamy Premises, Wazir Al school and college ground and three other points where the salesmen have bee selling two-kg sachet of onion at Taka 30 each kg, two-kg sachet of lentil at Taka 50 each kg, three kg of sugar at Taka 50 each kiloram and five litres of soyabean at Taka 450 each container.

Schoolteacher Abdur Razaque when purchasing a package of all the said items from a delivery van of TCB in the town said it is a blessings to the low or limited income  people like him. 

Housewife Masuma Khatun while purchasing another sachet of food items from the TCB van said  she was lucky enough to manage a sachet when the prices of essential commodities including onion has increased abnormally in the markets.

She had urged upon the authorities to continue the supply of essential goods among the needy and limited income group people through the TCB vans at a regular basis.
