Bangladesh team set to fly for New Zealand on Tuesday to play three ODIs and same number of T20Is as pacer Taskin Ahmed want to use his experience of World Cup in this tour. Right-handed pacer thinks that Bangladesh has to give 100% to be successful in New Zealand.

“I’ve played in New Zealand twice before. I’ve played the World Cup and played the New Zealand series.  It is always very challenging for anyone from outside to play with them in their condition.  If you want to do well there, it is not possible to get anything easily for both the bowler and the batsman.  Because they are always the favorites in their condition and it is difficult for the opposing team.  But we have to be 100% active.” said Taskin to media on Monday.

“We are used to play in slow and light bounces. So it’s a little hard for us but I’m optimistic because we played World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.  But at that time there were good wickets for batting and bowling.  If there is a sporting wicket like that then we will have a chance to do better.”

The Tigers will have to stay in the mandatory quarantine for 14 days, not only that in the first 6 days of quarantine players have to do all the household chores by themselves. Taskin admitted that will be tough mental challenge for them.

"It's actually a tough mental challenge, never having been in a situation like this before. Although we played in the last two series or tournaments under the biosecurity zone but it would be a little different to be in the same room for 6 days and do everything by yourself then maybe the training will start when the quarantine period is over so it is important for us to be mentally strong and have a different experience." he added.
