Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed has been ruled out of the first of the three-match ODI series against India.
The development was confirmed to Cricfrenzyon Thursday by a reliable source from Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
Taskin, who was suffering from back pain since the T20 World Cup hasn't recovered completely ahead of the first ODI, which is set to be held on December 4.
Meanwhile, skipper Tamim Iqbal is also doubtful for the first match, he incurred a knee injury during the practice match where he scored a hundred.
The Indian cricket team is set to arrive in Dhaka on Thursday evening. It will be the first bilateral ODI series between these teams in Bangladesh in seven years.
India last toured Bangladesh for an ODI series back in 2015 when the hosts beat them 2-1. The first ODI of the series will take place in Dhaka on 4 December and the second at the same venue on 7 December.
The third and final ODI will be played in Chattogram on 10 December.
