BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman and secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir held a meeting with the candidates seeking nominations for the Narail-1 and Narail-2 constituencies ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections.
The meeting was held at the party chairperson’s political office in Gulshan on Monday evening. BNP Senior Joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, Khulna Divisional organizing secretary Aninda Islam Amit and other leaders were present at the time. BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman addressed the hour-long meeting virtually from London UK.
Ziaur Rahman Foundation Chief Advisor, Holy Family Hospital former Director, BNP leader Dr. Ahmed Shafiqul Haider Parvez, District BNP President Biswas Jahangir Alom, BNP and Zia Parishad leader Professor B.M. Nagib Hussain, BNP leaders Sajjadur Rahman Suja and Sukesh Saha Ananda were present at meeting for Narail-1 constituency.
District BNP general secretary Md. Monirul Islam and former organizing secretary Shahriar Rizvi George were present for Narail-2 constituency .
In the meeting, acting chairman Tarique Rahman and secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said, "We have to forget our differences and work together to make BNP win the upcoming national elections. If there is disagreement within the party, a third party can take advantage.
We do not want to see any disagreement among the party leaders and workers. To ensure our victory, We have to leave behind mutual misunderstandings and move forward.
