The triennial conference of Awami League was held at Tala upazila in Satkhira on Sunday amid festive atmosphere.
Former MP Monsur Ahmed, president of Satkhira district Awami League, inaugurated the council on the premises of Kumira High School.
Whip of Jatiya Sangsad Abu Sayeed Al Mahmood Swapon, MP, organising secretary of Awami League’s central committee, was present at the event as the chief guest. Awami League central committee member SM Kamal, district Awami League general secretary and Zilla Parishad chairman Md Nazrul Islam, Satkhira-2 MP Mir Mostaq Ahmed Rabi, former Awami League president Enginar Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, MP, also spoke at the meeting as special guests.
