Tailors passing busy days in Chuadanga

Dressmakers including tailor masters and other staff of tailoring shops in Chuadanga district have been passing busy hours for delivering the ordered items before Eid-ul- Fitr. So, owners of the dress making shops keep open their shops from day’s 10 am to night’s 4 am. 

Ladies and gents tailor masters are cutting cloths using scissors day and night. On the other hand, dressmakers are also peddling their sewing machines the same times. 

Students Tailors, Dhaka Tailors and Mita Tailors for ladies’ dress (like salowers, kamij, children’s dress) and Dallas, Paradise Tailors, Padma Tailors, Madani Tailors, Remond Tailors, Alpona Tailors for gents’ dresses (like Panjabi, Shirts, Pants, Saroani) are famous dress making houses in the district town.

 All shop owners in the town have stopped taking orders for making all kinds of dresses. But if anybody has to close relation with any owner of tailor, he may take order.   Tailor masters and dressmakers of New Market, Boro Bazaar, Rail Bazaar, Emergency Road and court areas have been working with attention according to demand of customers. 

Making charges of salwar-kamiz is Tk 600 to 1000 according to design, Panjabi at tk. 600, shirt-pant at tk. 1200, children dresses at tk. 500 to 800 according to design. Owner of Padma Tailors Shamim Ahmed said, all staffs of the tailor have no time to take long hours rest now. We are dedicated to deliver the dresses in time for maintaining our reputation among customers.   Abdul Aziz, proprietor of Dallas Tailors in New Market, said making dresses prices have been increased due to worker wages, electricity bills and materials of dress making. 

Mukul Ahmed, owner of Paradise Tailors in Emergency Road in the district town, said this establishment wants to keep its own reputation through good behave and timely delivery the dresses to the customers.  When visited at upazila towns of the district the same scenarios were seen there.
