Tahmina Kabir, a young woman entrepreneur, received the ‘Joyeeta Award’ for her outstanding contribution as an economically supportive woman in the society.
The award was handed over to her at a reception programme held at Katiadi upazila in Kishoreganj on Wednesday on the occasion of the Begum Rokeya Day. Upazila Administration and Women's Affairs Office jointly organised the event.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Akhtarun Nesha was present as the chief guest with Mushtaqur Rahman in the chair. Upazila Awami League General Secretary Abdul Wahab Ain Uddin, Upazila Social Service Officer Mainur Rahman Monir, Women's Affairs Officer Achma Akter and others were also present.
In her reaction, Tahmina Kabir said, “This award will increase my desire to work.”
