Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim went to Pakistan to prepare for Pakistan Super League (PSL) after Sylhet phase in BPL. Sylhet Strikers set to bring back these two weapons of their bowling attack for the last match of the league phase.

Left-handed pacer Amir and left-handed spinner Imad played a big role behind Sylhet's success in BPL. Amir took 13 wickets in 10 matches, conceding just 5.95 runs per over. Imad took 10 wickets with an economy of 5.39 runs in a match.

Sylhet’s batting coach Tushar Imran told the media that they are returning these two for one match,

“Amir, Imad can return for one match. Hope they come and play a match. As one of my matches is vital. If we win that match, we will finish at the top. That's why the management has decided to bring back Amir-Imad for a match,”

Imad and Amir will play for Karachi Kings in PSL. Karachi called them at least 10 days before the start of the tournament on February 13. They returned to the country after the Sylhet phase.

Without these two, Rangpur Riders outplayed Sylhet by eight wickets in their last match.

Sylhet will play against Khulna Tigers in their last match in the league stage on February 8. If they win this last match, they will be finished at top two but if they lose, they may have to play an eliminator instead of a qualifier in the playoffs.

After Amir-Imad returned, Sylhet took Mohammad Irfan and Gulbadin Naib. South African George Linde will join the team in the playoffs.
